Gisborne Girls High Cricket is situated within the Poverty Bay Cricket Association province. Gisborne Girls High School competes locally in the Development Colts grade on saturday mornings. Over the years the team have competed very well against other secondary school sides within the Northern Districts region making the the ND final on a regular basis. The school has produced many ND female age group representative's over many years. Kerryann Tomlinson was the schools first player to play firstclass cricket for the Northern Spirit and Wellington Blaze.
The school currently has some very promising female cricket players. Jordy Hardacare, Moana McLelland, Tessa McDonald are currently in the ND Womens Pool of emerging players.
